COVID-19 often leads to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hopkinsmedicine.org\/health\/conditions-and-diseases\/pneumonia\">pneumonia<\/a>&nbsp;and even acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), a severe lung injury.
